- Do you consider the forum to be an effective tool for interaction between the participants and how do you find such an updated format of it in general?
- The forum is really very interesting. This is a very special area. Where else in one day you can see all the people in the industry, whether they are rulers or representatives of Russian Railways, transport companies or expert communities. And many of them live in different cities, and here they all gather together, and there is an opportunity to discuss many issues, and even just to hear the opinion of people about how they see the development of transport in Russia.
- After the discussion, did a clearer understanding emerge of what requirements the consumer places on the composition?
- The task of the session was not for the consumer to formulate technical requirements. This they do in collaboration with manufacturers. They call clear technical requirements, and the manufacturer accordingly adjusts them in accordance with their capabilities. It was about where the industry is moving at all, what the trend is. Therefore, such reports appeared on the topics of “smart locomotive” and “smart carriage”. Therefore, a lot has been said about technologies, including technologies for the production of locomotives and technologies for transportation. Because, ultimately, The shipper needs his cargo safely and safely delivered from one point to another for a certain period, which is guaranteed by the rail transport. - It was noted that technology is indeed very important; that the harmonious development of infrastructure and rolling stock is necessary. It can not be so that the rolling stock has rushed far ahead, to go then it is still on rails. Exactly the same thing, if you have any bottlenecks in the railway network, then even if you put a modern locomotive there, it will still go with restrictions. - Well, you know, I would say that the format has remained quite familiar and for many it is comfortable. Because people are used to working in a certain format, they liked the format, and like it now.
- Did you get answers to the questions with which you came to the forum?
- We have just had a very interesting discussion on passenger services. Representatives of the Kazakh and Uzbek railways were present. For example, I, to my shame, knew practically nothing about the activities of the Uzbek railways. Therefore, I listened with great interest to the presentations of my colleagues. At our round table there was an excellent presentation by our colleague from a Russian-Finnish joint venture dedicated to the design of rolling stock "Allegra". It seems just a demonstration of what has changed, but it was very colorfully and emotionally presented and really, from my point of view, changes the service, so this is interesting.
- Do you consider the forum to be an effective platform for the interaction of all market participants and determine the future development strategy?
-Forum owes it to become. Because for the countries entering the 1520 space it is extremely necessary to have common projects, because otherwise there will always be a question why 1520, and not 1435.

Oleg Belozerov, Director General - Chairman of the Board of Russian Railways, in his speech expressed confidence in the efficiency of the forum. He outlined the key topics for discussion, which will affect both technology and technology, as well as the issue of personnel formation and human resources.
Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Dietrich approved the dominant, most important role of railways in the transport system of Russia. “The potential of the wheel-rail system will be very far from being exhausted by 2050,” said Oleg Belozerov, “taking into account the development of alternative delivery systems, for example, the now-known Hyperloop.”
The head of Russian Railways commented on the key indicators of the company's development program, which, in particular, envisages the achievement of a figure of 180 million tons of pass on the BAM and Transsib highways by 2024.
It is planned to increase the capacity for container traffic, reducing the route from east to west to 7 days.

According to him, digital train control systems developed by the company have already begun to introduce some large private clients on a private network.

We are talking about the introduction of predictive technologies. Digital systems are capable of online analysis of the work of the 11 series locomotives. Also, in real-time, the system provides information on the pre-failure state of components and assemblies, and in parallel, also in automatic mode, a shift-daily task at the depot is formed. Accordingly, such a solution allows to reduce the downtime for repairs, to avoid unplanned outages for failures, therefore, to radically improve the efficiency of the entire system.
“I want to note (I don’t like this term very much, but still) 60 percent of exported coal is already being transported by so-called innovative cars,” shared Alexey Sokolov, First Deputy Director General for Strategy and Product, NPK "OVK".
In his opinion, the discussion about the need to move to such and more advanced cars is meaningless if we talk about large planning horizons. Tests show that the “innovative” car is capable of going at a speed of 105 kilometers per hour, and regardless of the load, both empty and full. Analogs "without innovation", which are in operation, can withstand up to 90 kilometers per hour empty and only 60 with maximum loading. It is clear that these indicators do not fit into the industry development strategy.
